10:23 a.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of vandalism in the 700 block of Medary Avenue. A report was filed.
11:10 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Fifth Street South in report of an active assault. Further investigation led to an arrest for simple assault.
12:42 p.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg received a report of a stolen political sign from the 1000 block of Crystal Ridge Road. The incident is under investigation.
Saturday, Oct. 17
2:17 a.m. Sgt. Weinrich made contact with a vehicle in the 200 block of First Avenue for a vehicle who was driving in the turn lane of Third Avenue. The driver was arrested for DUI.
8:50 p.m. Possession or use of drug paraphernalia
Sunday, Oct. 18
11:03 a.m. Brookings Police took a report of a theft in the 500 block of 32nd Avenue. A report was generated.
7:39 p.m. Law enforcement stopped a male driver after a driving complaint. Law enforcement arrested the male driver for DUI.
Monday, Oct. 19
1:42 a.m. Law enforcement conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found.
7:27 a.m. Brookings Police took a report of found narcotics. A report was filed.
9:09 a.m. Officers responded to a reported theft in the 300 block of 32nd Avenue.
4:15 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a theft report from the 1700 block of Sixth Street. A report was filed.
