Friday, Oct. 26

12:58 a.m. Officer Jurrens was flagged down by a female subject in reference to a possible domestic assault she witnessed.

1:43 a.m. Officer Pollman conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 800 block of Western Avenue for speeding. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

3:08 a.m. Officer Kreutner was dispatched to 514 Sunrise Ridge Road for a complaint of a possible theft. A report was generated.

9:21 a.m. Detective Smith assisted parole with a search at a residence in the 700 block of 13th Street West. Drug paraphernalia and meth residue were located inside the residence, and a Brookings female was arrested.

3 p.m. Officer Hart took a report of theft regarding items from the 2100 block of Derdall Drive. A report was filed, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

9:26 p.m. Officer Popp stopped a vehicle in the 2200 block of Sixth Street for driving without headlights. The driver was arrested for driving suspended, possession of a suspended license and no insurance. The spouse of the driver arrested arrived on scene in a separate vehicle and was subsequently arrested.

Saturday, Oct. 27

12:57 a.m. Officers responded to the 600 block of 12th Avenue for a report of a noise complaint. A search warrant was obtained, and four individuals were cited for underage consumption, one individual was charged with four counts of littering, and two parties were charged on complaint for common nuisance.

2:23 p.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg received a report of a possible lost or misplaced wallet. The incident was documented.

9:09 p.m. Officer Smith took a report regarding an incident that occurred in Minnesota several months ago.

Sunday, Oct. 28

1:16 a.m. Officer Bonnema stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

1:54 a.m. Officer Smith was flagged down in the 300 block of Main Avenue for a fight. No victim was identified, but a male was found to have an active warrant out of Brookings.

8:48 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of 22nd Avenue South for a female trespassing. A report was filed.

1:34 p.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg was notified of a two-vehicle crash that occurred Oct. 5 in the 900 block of 32nd Avenue. A city accident report was completed.
