7:53 a.m. Officers responded to the 400 block of Fourth Street for an intentional damage report.

9:46 a.m. Officers were requested to a business to issue a no trespass order for an individual. A report was filed.

5 p.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Southland Lane for a report of a female having suicidal thoughts. The female was taken to the hospital, and a report was filed.

8:13 p.m. Officers responded to Santee Pass for a suspicious person. A report was taken, and a subject was identified.

Tuesday, Oct. 30

2:14 p.m. Ingest, inhale substance to become intoxicated; driving while suspended; fail to maintain financial responsibility; speeding, 11 - 15 mph over

2:56 p.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a controlled purchase of illegal drugs. A report was filed.

5:56 p.m. Officer Pollman took a report of theft of a Halloween lawn ornament in the 200 block of Medary Avenue South.

6:16 p.m. Officer Kreutner was dispatched to the 600 block of 12th Street South for a report of a theft. A report was generated, and an investigation is ongoing.

9:31 p.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of the Highway 14 Bypass for a welfare check. Subject was unable to be located. A report was generated.

Wednesday, Oct. 31

12:11 a.m. Officer Jurrens stopped a vehicle for expired license plates. The driver was cited for expired license plates and maintenance of financial responsibility.

9:43 a.m. Unattended death

1:55 p.m. The Brookings Police Department assisted in a controlled purchase of narcotics in Madison. A report was filed.

5:04 p.m. Officer Hart responded to the intersection of 22nd Avenue South and Elmwood Drive for a report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident. A city accident report was filed. Both vehicles were reported functional after the collision.

Thursday, Nov. 1

12:02 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Heritage Drive for a dispute. A report was filed.

1:07 a.m. Agency assist; grand theft

1:22 a.m. Improper right turn

1:58 a.m. Officers responded to Ninth Street and Seventh Avenue for a suspicious persons call. One male was charged with underage consumption of alcohol.

2:40 a.m. Officer Jurrens responded to a report of an unwanted person in a residence in the 600 block of Harvey Dunn Street.

4:44 a.m. The Brookings Police Department investigated an alleged sexual assault. The case remains under investigation.

6:59 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Sunrise Ridge Road in response to a report of a protection order violation. A report was taken.

11:08 a.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg was notified of a stop sign that had been pulled from the ground at the intersection of Seventh Street and Fifth Avenue. The sign was replaced and a police report completed.

12:26 p.m. School Resource Officer Schneider was notified by High School administration of a student who was caught vaping in the lunchroom. The student was issued a citation for underage possession of tobacco.

1:55 p.m. Officers reported to a two-vehicle, non-injury motor vehicle accident. A report was filed.

3:29 p.m. Agency assist

4:07 p.m. Officers took a report of a hit and run in the intersection of Eighth Street and Sixth Avenue. A report was filed.
