Friday, Nov. 30

3:48 a.m. Officer Asmus responded to a one-vehicle, non-injury accident involving a deer near the 1100 block of Sixth Street West. A state accident report was filed.

11:28 a.m. School Resource Officer Schneider received a report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the high school parking lot. A city accident report was generated.

12:55 p.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg received a tip of possible drug use in the 1000 block of Fifth Street South. An investigation is pending.

3:21 p.m. Ingest, inhale substance to become intoxicated; possession of marijuana, 2 ounces or less; possession or use of drug paraphernalia

4:36 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of 22nd Avenue for a two-vehicle, non-injury crash. A state accident report was completed.

7:37 p.m. Officer Bonnema was dispatched to the Brookings County jail in regard to a parolee who brought drugs into the jail. The female was charged with multiple drug charges.

9:12 p.m. Officers were requested to the 1100 block of Pactola Cove for a possible domestic assault. It was determined no assault took place. Two individuals inside of the residence were cited for underage consumption.

Saturday, Dec. 1

12:30 a.m. Officer Asmus assisted Deputy Page with a domestic call in White. A report was filed.

1:46 a.m. Officer Bonnema stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

2:17 a.m. Officer Asmus responded to a male passed out on the 1000 block of Third Avenue. The male was arrested, and a report was filed.

4:25 p.m. Officers responded to a reported hit-and-run accident. A report was filed.

10:07 p.m. Possession of a controlled drug or substance

10:21 p.m. Criminal trespass after notice; underage purchase or possession of alcoholic beverages; disorderly conduct

Sunday, Dec. 2

4:48 a.m. Officers responded to the 2000 block of Kansas Drive for a report of domestic assault that had occurred. An arrest was made. A report was filed

6:18 a.m. Officers responded to a medical assistance call. A female was transported to Brookings Health System.

8:25 a.m. Officer Popp took a report of theft of Christmas lights in the 600 block of Seventh Street. A report was filed.

9:50 a.m. Officer Popp stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of Fifth Avenue for expired license plates. The driver was cited for expired plates and no insurance. The vehicle was towed and a report was filed.

1:27 p.m. Officers responded to a call about a female making suicidal threats. A report was filed.

2:05 p.m. Officer Popp was responding to assist agencies with a one-vehicle rollover on Interstate 29. While en route, a vehicle failed to yield the right of way to the emergency vehicle. The driver was stopped a short time later and issued a citation. A report was filed.

3:15 p.m. Officer Popp took a report of theft of lost property which occurred in the Dunham’s parking lot. A report was filed.
