Saturday, Dec. 8

12:59 a.m. Officer Hart stopped a vehicle for expired registration in the 600 block of Fifth Street South. As a result of the stop, the driver was run through field sobriety tests. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

1:46 p.m. The Brookings Police Department received a vandalism report. A vehicle was damaged at approximately midnight. The incident is being investigated.

Sunday, Dec. 9

1:28 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Iowa Street. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

2:29 a.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg responded to a report of a damaged door from the 1900 block of Eighth Street South. An investigation is pending.

8:47 a.m. Officer Asmus was dispatched to the 1600 block of Sixth Street for a passed out individual. A citation was issued, and a report was filed.

7:08 p.m. Officers met with an individual at the Brookings Police Department who wished to report a juvenile incident. A report was taken, and the incident is under investigation.

7:36 p.m. Officer Engstrom responded to the 1700 block of Sixth Street for a single motor vehicle accident involving a fixed object. A report was filed.

Monday, Dec. 10

10:07 a.m. Fail to maintain financial responsibility; driving while revoked; speeding, 21-25 mph over

12 p.m. The Brookings Police Department assisted the Division of Criminal Investigation with a search warrant in Arlington. A report was filed.

12:43 p.m. A woman reported that someone attempted to open a Verizon account in her name.

1:29 p.m. Brookings Police received a report of a male that lives in Brookings making a bomb threat to a business in Denver, Colorado.

1:48 p.m. A non-injury accident was reported.

2:09 p.m. Theft of a motor vehicle

8:11 p.m. Officer Engstrom responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury accident at the intersection of 22nd Avenue and Sixth Street. A report was filed.

8:18 p.m. Officers took a report of vandalism in the 500 block of 15th Street South.

8:51 p.m. Officers took a report of suspicious activity in the 500 block of 15th Street South.

9:50 p.m. Officers took a report of an assault which occurred on December 9th in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue South.
