BROOKINGS – The Brookings School District and the Brookings Education Association will host the 2018 Staff Recognition event Wednesday night, and the public is invited to come.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with a social and appetizers at the Brookings High School Commons. It’s catered by the BHS ProStart class, and BHS students will perform live music.
The program, emceed by Blake Erickson and Erin Moser, starts at 7 p.m. in V.A. Bell Auditorium at the high school.
This year the district is honoring the service of 16 retirees: Teresa Bortnem, Becky Lockwood, Lori Maher, Heidi Steffensen, Sharon Bortnem, Loreen Bunkers, Teresa Charlson, Julie Croymans, Kathy DeKraai, Vickie Newman, Patty Jorgenson, Gayle Klinker, Sally Pies, Kelly Riedell, Michelle VanderWal and Ruth Sapp.
All are welcome to attend the Wednesday event.
