Redhawks’ pole vaulters top field at DVC meet


ESTELLINE – The Dakota Valley Conference Track and Field Meet concluded Friday with the boys’ and girls’ pole vault competition.

The rest of the meet was held Thursday in De Smet.

Estelline/Hendricks’ Sophie Johnson won the girls’ title after clearing 10 feet, 3 inches and Harrison Wegner was the boys’ champion at 10-3.

Deubrook Area swept the team titles in the meet.

Matt Steffensen, Arlington, 9-0; 6. Davon Dahl, Estelline-Hendricks, 9-0; 7. (Tie) Nate Kersting, Arlington, and Marcus Harming, Elkton-Lake Benton, 8-6.
