Register will print Wednesday, but no mail delivery

BROOKINGS – President Donald Trump has proclaimed Wednesday as a National Day of Mourning in remembrance of former President George H.W. Bush.

Out of respect for the 41st president of the United States and to honor his vast contributions to the country during his lifetime, and consistent with the Presidential Proclamation, the United States Postal Service will suspend regular mail deliveries, retail services and administrative office activity on Dec. 5.

Locally, that means The Brookings Register will not be delivered as usual on Wednesday. The Register is publishing a paper on Wednesday and will be in racks and make regular non-U.S. Mail deliveries that day.

For mail customers – Wednesday’s paper will be delivered with Thursday’s regular mailed edition.

Customers can stop at the Register office at 312 Fifth St. during the day and pick up a copy of Wednesday’s paper or check out the E-edition, which will be free to all at www.brookingsregister.com.
