RENNER – The host Dukes swept the Bullets in a baseball doubleheader Thursday afternoon, winning 16-1 and 8-7. Both games ended after four innings.
Brookings (2-5) returns to action with a twinbill at Harrisburg today at noon.

The Dukes put up seven runs in the first and fourth innings.
Wyatt Hermsen tossed a three-hitter, giving up one unearned run with five strikeouts and a walk. Preston Konechne, who doubled and scored three times, and Maverick Jarding both drove in a pair of runs. Garrett Hoffman went 2-for-2 with an RBI.
The Bullets’ Jett Leddy was 1-for-1 with an RBI. Isac Norgaard, who scored, and Lincoln Hardin added hits.

Max Thomson’s three-run walkoff double with two outs in the bottom of the fourth secured the victory for the Dukes.
Hermsen and Manny Struck contributed two hits and one RBI apiece.
Ethan Molengraaf and Norgaard both finished 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Bullets.
Braden Clifford singled and drove in a run.
Payton Theodosopoulos, Josh Devine and Joey McMacken added hits.
