Results of Brookings County 4-H horse show released

BROOKINGS – The 2019 Brookings County 4-H Horse Show was held at the Swiftel Center Arena on  Tuesday, June 18. The 13 participants competed in 13 events throughout the day. 

Top 2019 Showmanship winners: 

Senior: Paityn Schulte, Brookings – Grand Champion

Nikole Ziegler, Volga – Reserve Champion

Shannon Rebelein, Brookings – third Place

Junior: Kylie Christensen, Volga - Grand Champion

Josie Nold, Brookings – Reserve Champion

Beginner: Brady Rebelein, Brookings - Grand Champion

Maddisyn Thompson, Elkton – Reserve Champion

Awards were given to the High Point Winners of each age division: 

Senior High Point:  Nikole Ziegler, Volga – Grand Champion

Paityn Schulte, Brookings – Reserve Champion

Junior High Point:  Josie Nold, Brookings – Grand Champion

Kylie Christensen, Volga – Reserve Champion

Beginner High Point:  Maddisyn Thompson, Elkton – Grand Champion

Dailynn Schomp, Elkton – Reserve Champion

Paityn Schulte and Nikole Ziegler have qualified to compete in the 2019 Round Robin Showmanship contest on Aug. 1. Round Robin will begin at 7 p.m. during the Brookings County 4-H Achievement Days held at the Swiftel Center. The event is open to the public following the 4-H Pork Loin BBQ and Fashion Revue Style Show.
