ELKTON — A case of exhibition driving that damaged a parking lot and a church in Elkton is being investigated by the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident was reported Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. at a church in the 700 block of Cornell Avenue, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

An unknown party was using the church’s parking lot for exhibition driving, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring wrote. While doing this, it is assumed a rock was thrown at the church.
