SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State’s Rod DeHaven was named Summit League Men’s Cross Country Coach of the Year.
It was his seventh men’s honor – the second most since the award was introduced in 1982 – in the Jackrabbits’ 12th year in the league.
Overall, DeHaven has earned eight cross country coach of the year awards, garnering the women’s accolade in 2008. He was also named Summit League Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year in 2017.
The Jackrabbit men won their third consecutive Summit League title this season, totaling a program-best 23 points – well ahead of second place (60).
SDSU had a school-record five first-team All-Summit League performers to go with three second-team All-Summit League honorees.
