Ronald Shultis, 89, of Madison, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at his home in Madison.
Funeral services are at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at the Oldham Lutheran Church in Oldham with Vicar Jess Carson officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in the church and preceding services on Thursday.
Ronald “Ron” Shultis was born June 13, 1928, to Robert and Gertrude (Anderson) Shultis at Oldham. Ron attended school in Oldham and Ramona High School, graduating as Valedictorian of his class.
Ron married Elizabeth “Betty” Hoek on Sept. 4, 1950, at her parent’s home. After retiring from farming Ron worked for Raven Industries and Car Quest. Ron enjoyed rose gardening, fishing, camping and ice cream. Most of all spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ron is survived by two sons, Dave (Julie) of Aberdeen and Dan (Julie) of Tea, seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a number of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by wife, Betty, brother Ray and sisters, Zelda and Marilyn.
