Rosa, Styles earn academic honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State tennis players Iasmin Rosa and Emerson Styles were honored on the Summit League Academic All-League team.

A civil engineering major with a 3.86 GPA, Rosa was heavily involved in the Student Athlete Association Committee and was a member of Tau Beta Pi and the American Society of Civil Engineers. She was also named to the dean's list every semester.

The senior from Espirito Santo, Brazil, closed her collegiate career with her fourth-consecutive 10-win season, going 11-10 in dual singles. Rosa, a three-time all-league honoree, went 13-7 (6-0 in conference) in doubles with partner Morgan Brower.

Styles, a native of Barnstable, England, earned his first recognition on the academic team with a 3.85 GPA in geographic information sciences and geography. He has also made the dean's list every semester.

The sophomore posted a 7-14 dual singles record and a 3-17 doubles record this season.
