Rose Anderson, 78, of Stickney, died Nov. 23, 2017, in Aurora County. 

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Stickney followed by a 3 p.m. service at Grace Lutheran Church in Bruce. Burial is at St. Petri Cemetery in Bruce. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Stickney. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bittner Funeral Chapel. 

Rose Elaine Anderson was born Nov. 19, 1939, in Brookings to Paul and Minnie (Cor) Bombeck. She graduated from White High School in 1957. She married Roger Anderson on April 27, 1957 in Bruce. In 1965, she moved to Stickney. She worked at South Dakota State Training School in Plankinton for numerous years. She later worked at Stickney Co-op Elevator until 2001, and then worked at Krohmer Insurance. For the past 15 years, she has been working at the Coffee Cup. Rose was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and has served on the town board in Stickney for several years. 

 She is survived by three sons, Gordon Anderson of Pierre, Wayne Anderson of Mitchell and Darrel (Joyce) Anderson of Watertown;  seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; sisters Ruth (Peter) Hansen of Pierre and Marilin Bombeck (Leo) Sterlin; brothers, Paul (Donna) Bombeck Jr., of New Castle, Wyoming. 

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger in 2001 and daughter Jeninel Jacobs in 2011.
