Rosemary Thompson, 79, died Thursday at her home in Colman.     
Visitation will be Monday from 5 – 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Skroch Funeral Chapel in Colman with burial in the Colman Cemetery
Rosemary was born June 4, 1938, in Webster and was raised by her mother Estella. She attended school in Webster and graduated from Webster High School in 1956. She  married James Bowar on June 20, 1958. They moved to Colman and later she moved to Madison. She was a stay at home mom and small business owner. Rosemary married James R. Thompson on Aug. 2, 1984, in Colman.
Rosemary loved spending time with her girls and grandchildren, doing crossword puzzles, golfing, fishing, playing bridge, cooking, baking, canning, crocheting, playing cards and reading. Rosemary and Jim loved to travel, wintering in Arizona and California and spending their summers at Lake Shetek, Minn.. Rosemary enjoyed watching M*A*S*H and was a huge Harry Potter fan.
She was a member of the Colman Lutheran Church.
  Rosemary is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth (Clifford) Mikesell of Cheyenne, Wyo., Stephene Lebert of Colman and Jennifer Watson of Bozeman, Mont.; five step-sons, James A. (Susan) Thompson of Colman, Daniel (Donna) Thompson of Egan, William Thompson of Valley Park, Mo., David Thompson and Christopher (Demi), both of Sioux Falls and numerous grandchildren.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, James; grandson, Nicholas; and numerous aunts and uncles.
