BROOKINGS – An acreage in rural Brookings was vandalized, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The damage was reported at 2:22 p.m. Sunday and occurred at an abandoned acreage near 207th Street on 469th Avenue in rural Brookings, said Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring.
The vandalism is believed to have taken place sometime within the last two to three weeks.
“Someone gained entry into the abandoned home and broke out two French doors that had a total of 15 small windows in each door,” Sebring said.
The cost to replace the doors is unknown at this time.
