Russell Brown, 76 of Arlington, SD died Thursday, July 28, 2022 in Brookings SD at Edgewood Vista.
A memorial will be held on Aug.13 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Johnson-Henry Funeral Home in Arlington.
Russell Everett Brown was born on April 17, 1946, to Howard and Edna (Brooks) Brown. Russ graduated from Arlington High School in 1964. He went on to SDSU where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
Russ returned to the family farm after working as a social worker for the State of South Dakota for several years. After retiring from the farm, Russ was a dedicated caregiver to his dear mother.
Russ is survived by his sister Kathy (Dan) Simpson of St. Paul, Minn; sister-in-law Christine Brown, Arlington; nieces and nephews; Wes (Amanda) Brown, Sophia, Will (Brianne) Brown, Andy (Faith) Brown, Vanessa (Nick) Barkl; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Hudson, Sydney, Bell, Kinsley Brown; Micah, Toby, Elli, Teddy Moore; and Averleigh, Alyse and Carter Brown, and many cousins.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Edna, and his brother, Walt.
