Schoon wins title; Bobcats place 4th at Unruh


WAHPETON, N.D. – Frazee (Minn.) totaled 313 points to win the Dan Unruh Invitational as Brookings placed fourth with 136 points.

Jacob Schoon won the 170-pound weight class to lead the Bobcats, who had eight wrestlers place in the tournament.

Nolan Archer (106) and Connor Klinkhammer (113) both finished third; Logan Bowes (182) placed fourth; Justin Devine (160) and Tucker Christie (285) each finished fifth; Sam Lehman (138) and Gus Miller (220) were sixth.

Jacob Montis finished 1-2 at 132 pounds; Koby Bartels went 0-2 at 120; Caden Wright was 0-2 at 152; and Aaron Schmidt posted a 0-2 mark at 195.

The Bobcats travel to Hartford tonight for a triangular with West Central and Chamberlain.
