SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State’s Marisa Schulz and Jocelyn Tanner were honored Tuesday as members of the Summit League Women’s Soccer Academic All-League Team. Both student-athletes have compiled perfect 4.0 grade-point averages to earn spots on the 11-player team, which was determined by a vote conducted among the league’s sports information directors and faculty athletics representatives.

Schulz, a senior midfielder/forward from Dakota Dunes, is pursuing a master’s degree in statistics and data science. She played in all 22 games for the Summit League tournament champion Jackrabbits and collected two goals and two assists.

Tanner, a sophomore from Ham Lake, Minnesota, is majoring mathematics and data science. She was honored this fall as the Summit League Goalkeeper of the Year, posting a 13-4-1 record in 18 starts with nine shutouts and a 1.10 goals-against average.

South Dakota State finished the season with a school record for wins in a season en route to a 17-4-1 overall record. The Jackrabbits made their sixth appearance in the NCAA College Cup in program history.
