The Brookings High School and Mickelson Middle School Science Olympiad teams competed in the 35th annual Science Olympiad at the University of South Dakota on March 23.
The high school team brought home medals in 20 out of 23 events, earning eight first-place, six second-place, and six third-place medals, as well as the second-place overall team trophy.
The MMS team finished fourth, bringing home two first-place, two second-place and five third-place medals.
