The theft was reported at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday and occurred in the 200 block of Samara Avenue in Volga, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.

Two padlocks were cut from an electrical box and an unknown amount of scrap wire was stolen from inside, Sebring said.

“There was also some scrap copper next to the electrical box that was stolen,” Sebring said. “The scrap copper that was stolen is estimated at around $100.”
