CORAL GABLES, Fla. – After the first round of the Miami Invitational, the South Dakota State women’s golf team is 11th.
The Jackrabbits shot a 306 on the par-72, 6,150-yard Biltmore Golf Course. No. 16 Oklahoma leads the 13-team field, shooting a 285. Barry’s Tilda Larsson leads the 75-player field, firing a 68.
Teresa Toscano leads SDSU and is tied for 13th with a first-round one-over par 73. She collected birdies on the seventh and 17th holes. Cassidy Laidlaw is tied for 28th, shooting a three-over par 75.
Sydney Bormann (79) and Natcha Srimaneerungroj (79) are tied for 56th while Magda Kruger is 74th (86).
Playing as an individual, Brooke Piearson is 75th (92).
