SDSU swimming and diving team recognized on CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

NORFOLK, Va. – The South Dakota State swimming and diving team highlighted the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America teams.

CSCAA Executive Director Joel Shinofield cited South Dakota State's success, noting, "Coach Brad Erickson has left a legacy of success at South Dakota State both in and out of the pool. We are very fortunate to have schools like South Dakota State and people like President Dunn and Director of Athletics Justin Sell who support these exceptional student-athletes."

A total of 720 teams, representing 443 institutions, achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the spring 2017 semester. The number of men's and women's institutions sponsoring swimming and diving is at a ten-year high.

The Ivy League led Division I programs with Harvard, Dartmouth and Brown taking the top three spots. Harvard let with a 3.57 GPA.
