It was another impressive offensive performance for the SDSU men on Saturday. The Jacks shot over 50% for the second-straight game and were 8-for-16 from three.

“We’re pretty versatile offensively,” SDSU head coach Eric Henderson said. “I think we had six guys this weekend score in double figures. So we have multiple weapons. … We have different options. Teams have to make some tough choices. Last night we made 14 threes and tonight I loved our discipline. They took away our three’s tonight, especially Noah [Freidel]’s and we only shot 16 of them. We finished at the rim. We still shot above 50%. It wasn’t 60% like yesterday, but we still were very efficient.”

Wilson led the Jacks with 23 points and six rebounds. Scheierman recorded his fourth-straight double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. He also chipped in five assists. Henderson said it’s nice to see Scheierman rebounding the ball so well because he’s been working hard at it.

“Two things [have led to Scheierman’s rebounding], confidence and freedom. He’s able to really play his game. … We talk about with Baylor ‘if you rebound we can play so much faster.’ It’s like having two point guards out there with him and [Arians]. … Baylor is playing with so much confidence and freedom and that’s when he’s at his best, so I’m just so proud of him. He’s put so much work in and he deserves,” Henderson said.

Alex Arians scored 16 points and five rebounds. Matt Dentlinger had eight points and eight rebounds. David Wingett hit four 3-pointers for 12 points. After scoring 24 points on Friday, Freidel scored just five points Saturday. Scheierman said Saturday showed how many weapons the Jacks have.

“We just have a lot of weapons and we’re all confident. I think it shows. Last night Noah had 24 and tonight he had five or eight or what not. But other people step up and I think that’s what makes us really tough to guard and how were able to score so many points. We have a lot of guys who can score the ball,” he said.

This was the Jacks’ 29th-straight win at Frost Arena. SDSU will take on Denver on the road next. The Jacks are scheduled to face the Pioneers Friday and Saturday with each game set to tipoff at 8 p.m.
