SDSU-WIU series opener postponed


BROOKINGS – Friday’s Summit League baseball series opener between South Dakota State and Western Illinois scheduled to be played at Erv Huether Field has been postponed due to rain.

The two squads are now scheduled to play the series opener at 2 p.m. today. The seven-member Jackrabbit senior class will be honored prior to the game.

The series will conclude Sunday with a doubleheader starting at noon.

SDSU enters the weekend second in the Summit League standings with a 13-8 conference mark (15-25 overall.) Western Illinois is third at 10-10 and 13-25 overall.
