ST. GEORGE, Utah– For the second straight tournament, the South Dakota State women's golf team has captured a title, winning the Lady Thunderbird Invitational hosted by Southern Utah Friday.
The Jackrabbits shot a 12-under par 564 (282-282) to set the school record for 54 holes and tie the record for 18 holes. State has now won five tournaments this season and finished in the top three in eight of nine.
Megan Mingo and Islamiah Fuad finished second and third, respectively.
Mingo shot a six-under par 138 (68-70) and Fuad a five-under par 139 (69-70) on the par-72, 6,092-yard Sunbrook Golf Course on the Black Rock & The Point.
Teresa Toscano tied for fourth, shooting a one-under 143 (73-70).
Hallie Getz finished eighth, firing an even par 144 (72-72) and Natcha Srimaneerungroj tied for 36th (75-81–156).
Playing as an individual, Sydney Bormann tied for 25th (77-76–153).
