SDSU women’s golf takes 10th; Toscano T11

MARICOPA, Ariz. – The South Dakota State women’s golf team closed with a 310 to finish 10th in the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic with a 54-hole total of 903 at the 6,131-yard, par-72 Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club - Southern Dunes.

UTEP shot a final-round 297 to top the 20-team leaderboard with a 19-over-par 883 total, while Santa Clara (296) was second at 884, New Mexico State (297) third at 885, Cal Poly (296) fourth at 887 and UC Riverside (298) fifth at 888.

The Aggies’ Suthavee Chanachai was medalist at 8-under 208. She shot 72 Tuesday.

Teresa Toscano tied for 11th to pace the Jackrabbits. Her final-round 74 gave her a 4-over 220 total.

Sydney Bormann (78) and Cassidy Laidlaw (81) tied for 44th at 228. Mia Seeman (80) tied for 56th with a 230 total and Lani Potter (79) tied for 78th at 234.
