NEWTON, Kan. – South Dakota State men's golfer Alejandro Restrepo picked up his first postseason honor Saturday, being named second-team All-Summit League by league officials prior to Sunday's 2017 Summit League Men's Golf Championship at the Sand Creek Station Golf Course.

Restrepo leads the Jackrabbits into the championship with a 74.72 stroke average.

In 29 rounds, the freshman has seven rounds of par-or-below. He recorded the fourth-lowest round in school history, a 66 in the opening round of the Jackrabbit Invitational April 10. His best finish came at The Jackrabbit, tying for 10th.

The Valencia, Venezuela, native is the sixth Jackrabbit to be honored on an all-league team since 2007-08, including teammate Grant Smith, and just the second rookie in the program to earn a postseason honor.
