SDSU’s season ends at NCAA Regionals

STANFORD, Calif. – The two-time defending Summit League champion South Dakota State men played their final round of the season on Wednesday, finishing 13th at the NCAA Stanford Regional.

The Jackrabbits shot a three-round 899 (301-289-309) on the par-70, 6,727-yard Stanford Golf Course. The fourth-ranked and host Cardinal tied with ninth-ranked Baylor to win the regional, firing a three-round 823.

Grant Smith shot a 71 to move up seven spots in the final round to tie for 48th. He shot a three-round 218 (75-72-71) with a tournament-high two eagles to go with seven birdies.

Trevor Tobin finished 62nd, firing a three-round 223 (74-70-79) with 10 birdies.

Alejandro Perazzo finished 70th (75-74-79–228); Alejandro Restrepo tied for 73rd (83-73-80–236) and Jaxon Lynn was 75th (77-74-87–238).
