BROOKINGS – South Dakota State University seniors Spencer Gibbons, Dominic Heidt, Samuel Krueger and Kirsten Muhmel are holding their visual arts exhibition March 27-31 at the Ritz Gallery in Grove Hall on the SDSU campus.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
The Ritz Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Heidt and Muhmel are pursuing degrees in graphic design while Gibbons and Krueger are majoring in studio art.
The exhibit, titled “Second Nature,” includes drawings, illustrations, ceramics, prints, photography, paintings, sculpture and illustrations along with graphic design projects such as digitally rendered art, web design, branding and packaging.
Heidt is the son of Dean and Mary Heidt of Rapid City and is a 2013 graduate of Rapid City Central High School.
The son of William and Jeanette Gibbons of Brookings, Gibbons is a 2012 graduate of Brookings High School.
Krueger is the son of Todd and Ann Krueger of Elkton and is a 2013 Krueger Christian Academy graduate.
The daughter of Royce and Susana Muhmel of Yankton, Muhmel is a 2012 Yankton High School graduate.
A public reception will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in the Ritz Gallery.
The Ritz Gallery is located south of SDSU’s University Student Union between Mathews and Brown residence halls. Parking is available in the University Student Union and Frost Arena lots.
