BROOKINGS – South Dakota State University seniors Autumn Marker-Berseth, Michael Rogers, Kelsey Schmitz and Alaina Stoutland will display their senior exhibit Nov. 12-Dec. 6 at Grove Hall’s Ritz Gallery on campus. The exhibit is free and open to the public. The Ritz Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The exhibit, titled “Roots: We Grow From Here,” includes ceramics, photography, drawings, paintings, prints, sculpture and mixed media.
Rogers is the son of Thaddeus and Elizabeth Rogers of Sioux Falls. A 2013 graduate of Sioux Falls O’Gorman High School, Rogers is majoring in studio art with a specialization in painting.
The daughter of Amy and Terry Fitzke of Pierre and a 2015 graduate of Pierre T.F. Riggs High School, Schmitz is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art with a specialization in art education.
Stoutland is the daughter of James and Marianne Stoutland of Marshall, Minnesota, and is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art, specializing in art education. She will also graduate with a certificate in art history and a minor in biology. She is a 2013 Marshall High School graduate.
A public reception will be held Nov. 22 from 4-6 p.m.
The Ritz Gallery is located south of SDSU’s University Student Union between the Mathews and Brown residence halls. Parking is available in the University Student Union lot.
