Several weekend events canceled, postponed at SDSU

BROOKINGS – Several events this weekend on the South Dakota State University campus have been canceled or rescheduled due to the predicted weather.

They include:

  • Jackrabbit Reception (Marshall, Minn.) - Prospective students & families - please contact the Office of Admissions at 1.800.952.3541 to discuss future visit opportunities that are available with SDSU.
  • The SDSU Wellness Center will be closed Saturday. It plans to re-open Sunday at noon, pending availability of operating staff. For hours of operations, visit the Wellness Center.
  • The South Dakota Art Museum will be closed Saturday.
  • The South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum will be closed Saturday.
  • Saturday’s GRE and ACT tests are in the process of being rescheduled.
  • McCrory Gardens Education and Visitor Center will be closed Saturday. Saturday's Hope Grows annual dinner will be rescheduled. Sunday’s Silk and Libations event at McCrory Gardens will also be rescheduled.
  • The Hilton M. Briggs Library will close at 5 p.m. Friday. It will not be open Saturday.

All classes have been canceled today for the College of Nursing’s Rapid City site. The SDSU West River Agricultural Research and Extension Center is also closed today.

Upcoming weather conditions will dictate the status of events still scheduled.
