GARRETSON – Sioux Falls Christian swept the team crowns at the Jesse James Cross Country Invitational on Tuesday.
Isaac Engbers led the Chargers’ sweep of the top three spots as Sioux Falls Christian posted a team score of 12.
Beresford (41) was second.
Flandreau took seventh with 128 points.
Engbers clocked a 5K time of 17 minutes, 17 seconds.
Patrick Vogel (17:29) and Derrek VanderLeest (17:48) placed second and third, respectively. Isaac Davelaar (18:19) took seventh to round out the team tally.
Sioux Valley’s Colby Gatzke placed eighth with an 18:23 clocking. Teammate Skylar Schwab (19:41) was 33rd and Cade Gross (21:40) 59th.
Austin Kulm paced the Fliers with a time of 19 minutes, putting him in 16th.
Lars Dailey (20:26) finished 45th, Liam Streitz (21:09) 53rd and Samuel Gassman (21:50) 61st to complete the team score.
Lennox’s Ali Bainbridge (19:44) and Emily Plucker (20:50) placed 1-2 individually, but the Chargers won the team title with 38 points.
Beresford (46) and the Orioles (55) took second and third, respectively, in the team standings.
Flandreau was fifth at 82.
Taryn Whisler (21:06) led the Chargers, taking third.
The Fliers’ Hannah Parsley finished ninth with a 21:51 clocking.
Libby Hursey crossed in 11th in 22 minutes.
Reese Olinger (23:59) ended up 40th and Lizzie Pavlis (24:40) 45th to complete the team score.
