Shane McKeown passed away on Nov. 30, 2021, in Washington, PA, at the age of 66.
Shane was born Aug. 10, 1955, in Brookings, to the late Gordon and Maxine McKeown.
He has a smile that would light of the room. He loved reading, history, gardening, basektball, baseball, traveling, music and “The Duke.”
Shane is survived by his children, Isaiah (Natalie), Anna (Terry), Meghen and Laurie (Kevin).
He was the best grandpa to Kadin and Kinley and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of Zachariah (born in February 2022). Other survivors include his brother, Steve (Joan) McKeown; sisters, Beth (Rich) Frederiksen, LaVia (Jim) Merrick, Rebecca Mines (Pete Lana) and Mary (John) Guthmiller; aunt Thallis Jensen; cousins, nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 13, at the McKeown family farm at 20931 482nd Ave.m Elkton.
There will be a gathering for a barbecue at 1 p.m. to share memories, stories, to laugh, to cry and to remember a person who will be greatly missed.
