MITCHELL – The Sioux Valley competitive cheer team posted a big score to take the team title at the Mitchell Invitational on Saturday at the Corn Palace.
The Cossacks earned a 285.
Rapid City Central was a distant second at 233.5.
Huron (226.5) took third.
Deubrook Area (172) was 10th and Arlington/Lake Preston (168) 12th.
The Class A state competition is Friday, Oct. 25, in Aberdeen. The AA meet is the following day.
