FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Ashlynn Smith led the South Dakota State volleyball team with 12 kills while hitting .243 but the Jackrabbits dropped their finale 25-17, 25-12, 25-21 to IPFW on Saturday.
Macy Smith added seven kills, while Hanna Jellema had six kills and eight digs. Senior Ellie Benson had a team-high 13 digs.
SDSU finished with a 2-25 record, including an 0-14 mark in the Summit League.
For the Mastodons (12-18, 4-10), who qualified for the postseason with the victory, Nicole Rightnowar tallied 16 kills and 14 digs.
