BROOKINGS – Representatives from the Brookings High School oral interp team competed on Friday and Saturday in Mitchell at the SDHSAA State Festival. Ninety-one schools from across the state were represented in three classes of competition. Sixteen schools competed in the AA division.

BROOKINGS – Representatives from the Brookings High School oral interp team competed on Friday and Saturday in Mitchell at the SDHSAA State Festival. Ninety-one schools from across the state were represented in three classes of competition. Sixteen schools competed in the AA division.
Representing Brookings were:
Receiving a superior rating were Davis, Dwomoh, Schran, DuBray, and Davis/Anawski. The team also received a team excellence award.
This festival marks the end of the SDHSAA oral interp season. Students will continue competing through February in the National Speech and Debate Associaton speech season.
Brookings will host more than 18 schools on Dec.16-17 for the annual Bell Speech and Debate Tournament.
