WHITE – Two people have been arrested on suspicion of vehicle break-ins, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.

“The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office has successfully made arrests on the individuals responsible for the recent vehicle break-ins and thefts in the White area, recovering numerous wallets, purses and other items,” Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.

“The suspects were identified as 23-year-old female Miranda Sanow of Lake Benton, Minnesota, and 21-year-old male Sabyn Polfliet-Welvaert of Ghent, Minnesota,” he said.

A Brookings County grand jury indicted the pair on Friday on two counts of grand theft, one count of aggregated petty theft in the first degree, and six counts of criminal entry of a motor vehicle.

“Sanow is currently in the custody of the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office on a $2,500 cash-only bond. Polfiet-Welvaert is currently in custody in Lyon County, Minnesota, facing local charges as well as being held for the Brookings County warrant,” Sebring said Friday.
