MILBANK – The Sioux Valley volleyball defeated Milbank in five sets on Tuesday night.
The two teams split the first two sets with the Bulldogs taking the first set 25-22 and the Cossacks winning the second 25-18. Milbank won the third set 25-16, but Sioux Valley forced a fifth set with a 25-15 win in the fourth set. The Cossacks won the match with a 16-14 victory in the deciding fifth set.
Reagan Johnson led the way for the Cossacks with 11 kills and 14 digs. Kasey Pistulka had 28 digs and Ashley Bjerke had 27 assists. Kaedyn Sapp had 10 kills and nine blocks.
Bjerke also had 19 digs and eight kills. Adison Renkly had eight kills and three blocks.
Milbank was led by Rachel Schulte who had 19 kills and 14 digs. Hallie Schulte had 27 digs. Addison Krause had 17 assists and Averie Engebretson had 15.
Sioux Valley is now 7-6 and plays in the Sanford Pentagon Tournament on Saturday.
