Swiftel Center reopens ticket office to the public


BROOKINGS – The Swiftel Center reopened its ticket office effective Monday, May 18. The main lobby entrance and ticket office are the only areas open to the public. All other areas of the Swiftel Center facility, including restrooms, will remain closed to the public. 

The hours of operation for the Swiftel Center ticket office have been modified to Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The ticket office is closed on Fridays.  

No more than 10 people will be permitted in the main lobby at a time. Guests will be required to follow the posted signage guidelines. Hand sanitizer stations will be readily available. 

The Swiftel Center operations staff will clean and disinfect all touch surfaces after each guest. For safety, all furniture in the main lobby has been removed to limit touch points.  

All other business outside of ticketing will be by approved appointment only. Guests, clients and employees should coordinate with the full-time Swiftel Center management team via telephone and online channels. The Swiftel Center website (www.swiftelcenter.com/covid19) will have the most up-to-date information regarding all event-related updates and status changes. 

The City of Brookings staff is currently working on a plan which will incrementally reopen some City of Brookings facilities, events, and departments. Re-opening plans will include safety measures that follow CDC guidelines and requirements. The City of Brookings noted that each City department or facility may implement different reopening measures based on the nature of the operations each performs.
