BROOKINGS – Tickets to the 25th annual Tables Beautiful fundraiser will go on sale May 1 at Threads of Memories. This year’s event will be held Thursday, May 11, at First Lutheran Church, 337 Eighth St. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and salads and desserts will be served at noon. Tickets are $12.
“People are encouraged to purchase tickets early, as ticket sales in past years have been brisk,” Heather Kuhlman, executive director of the Brookings Arts Council, said. “This ever-popular event is filled with incredibly artful tables beautifully presented by each of the table hostesses. Great pride is taken in creativity, the authenticity of their theme, and the presentation of each table.
The Brookings Arts Council sponsors the event, and proceeds support arts programs and events. Several area artists and local businesses have provided raffle items for this annual fundraiser.
