The Brookings VFW Auxiliary is proud to announce the eight nonprofit organizations that will be lending a hand for the Third Sunday Breakfasts that will begin on Aug. 18. The nonprofit organizations that were chosen were required to submit a letter of interest and what their organization does to help our community and its citizens.
The organizations that were chosen for the Third Sunday Breakfast funding are:
Aug. 18 the Brookings County Food Pantry; Sept. 15, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR); the Brookings Bobcat Bowling Team on Nov. 17; in December the Altrusa organization will help serve on the 15th. Starting the new year, the Midwest Maidens Roller Derby ladies will be serving breakfasts on Jan. 19; the Harvest Table on Feb. 16, and to finish the breakfasts the Sleep in Heavenly Peace organization will serve breakfast on March 15.
