Former South Dakota State women’s basketball player Ellie Thompson will continue her basketball career this fall in Luxembourg after signing with Backet Esch out of the Total League.
Thompson finished her four-year career at SDSU as a three-time second-team All-Summit League selection. She was named to the all-tournament team twice and was part of the 2015 Summit League All-Newcomer Team.
The forward ended her time as a Jackrabbit ranked 29th in points (1,278), seventh in rebounds (774), fourth in offensive rebounds (312), fifth in blocks (118), eighth in blocks per game (0.89) and 11th in field-goal percentage (48.8).
