BROOKINGS – P.E.O. Chapter CR granted three $400 scholarships. The recipients are Hannah Einspahr and Hannah Novotny from Brookings High School, and Kiley Kraft from Colman-Egan High School. All three students are daughters of Chapter CR members and plan to attend South Dakota State University to further their dreams.
Einspahr plans to major in nursing and work in pediatrics. In high school, she was active in cheer, FCA, choir and the National Honor Society.
Novotny intends to major in interior design. At BHS, she was active in the marching band color guard, choir and made All State and honor choirs.
Kraft will major in pharmacy. In high school, she was involved in her FFA chapter and she competed in rodeo through 4-H and Little Britches Rodeo.
Each year, Chapter CR honors daughters of members with scholarships. In years when there are no senior daughters, the chapter chooses a young woman as a recipient of the scholarship.
“It’s part of our mission to help young women succeed,” says Chapter CR President Mary Schulte, “and we are so blessed that we get to help these three deserving students as they start their college careers.”
