Tires slashed on 13 vehicles

VOLGA – The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two male suspects after a total of 13 vehicles throughout the city of Volga were found to have slashed tires, said Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring.

The vandalism was reported at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, he said.

“It is believed to have occurred sometime between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday,” Sebring said.

“Two male suspects were seen walking in the area of the vandalism, one was described as wearing a green or orange hooded sweatshirt and seen walking toward the high school,” he said.

“The exact amount of damage is unknown at this time but is believed to be several thousand dollars worth of damage,” Sebring said.
