Toscano leads the Jackrabbits in Nevada

BOULDER CREEK, Nev. – In the final tournament of the fall season, the South Dakota State women's golf team finished 14th on Tuesday at the 16th annual Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown.

The Jackrabbits shot a three-round 897 (295-300-302) on the par 72, 6,373-yard Boulder Creek Golf Club. Host UNLV won the 16-team event, shooting 17-under par 828. The Rebels' Elizabeth Prior shot a 16-under par 200 to capture the individual title.

Teresa Toscano led SDSU, tying for 26th, firing a three-round 219 (71-77-71) with six birdies and an eagle for the tournament. Cassidy Laidlaw shot a 222 (72-75-75) to tie for 38th; Sydney Bormann tied for 49th (76-73-75–224). Natcha Srimaneerungroj shot a 232 (76-75-81) to tie for 77th and Brooke Piearson finished 90th (76-80-83–239).
