SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State’s Teresa Toscano was named Summit League Female Golfer of the Month.
In October, the senior from Huelva, Spain, picked up two top-five finishes as she tied for third at both the NM State Aggie Invitational (Oct. 7-9) and Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown (Oct. 27-29). She recorded a Summit League-best 72.3 stroke average throughout the month.
Toscano helped the women’s team to a strong fourth-place finish in an elite 18-team field at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. She holds a 73.91 stroke average at the conclusion of the fall season.
This is Toscano’s third time receiving the honor.
The Jackrabbits return to action in February for their spring season.
