BROOKINGS – Brookings County Title Company in Brookings announce that one of their employees, Kooper Veldhuisen, has become a South Dakota licensed abstracter.

Veldhuisen successfully passed the rigorous set of examinations by the South Dakota Abstracter’s Board of Examiners.

He is now a licensed professional and is able to search, report, and legally certify matters of public record that affect title to South Dakota real estate for purposes of abstracts and title insurance.

Through this professional achievement,  Veldhuisen joins an exclusive and highly specialized group of only 150 licensed abstracters in South Dakota.

Veldhuisen grew up in Marshall, Minnesota, where he attended Marshall High School and worked in the family business.

After graduation he chose to attend SDSU to pursue a degree in business economics and thanks to the new real estate program, he eventually found himself as an intern with Brookings County Title Company.

His desire to learn more about the real estate industry grows every day and his interest lies in the subject of title to land in South Dakota. Kooper likes to spend his time outside where he enjoys hunting, fishing, and skiing, and loves to spend time with his family and friends.

The office is located at 1024 Sixth Street, Suite B in Brookings.
