VOLGA – The City of Volga has released its schedule and updated rules of operation for its city pool at 225 Samara Ave.

The pool facility will open to the public on June 15. There are no restrictions on who may use the pool facility.

Pool hours are Monday through Friday, 1-4:45 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., and weekends from 1-8 p.m.

Spots are still available for Red Cross swimming lessons, which run for two-week sessions with three sessions from June through July.

Pool procedures are adjusted for 2020 due to concerns of COVID-19.

The city is offering season passes for $50 for a single person or $95 for a family pass. Day passes will not be available this summer. Additionally, a maximum capacity of 100 persons is set for the facility. The pool’s standard maximum capacity is 357 persons.

Should the facility reach its capacity of 100 persons, there will be a two-hour maximum pool time for patrons. Those who have used the facility for two hours will be asked to leave to make room for those waiting in line. If the pool is not at capacity, there is no two-hour limit. Finally, pool toys and accessories will not be allowed into the facility, and lifejackets and goggles will not be available through the city. Any persons needing lifejackets or safety flotation devices for their safety and comfort are still encouraged to bring their own.

To help ensure safety of patrons, the city will have extra staff working each shift dedicated to cleaning and sanitizing surfaces.

Anyone interested in scheduling swimming lessons or purchasing a season pass prior to June 15 may call Volga City Hall at 627-9113. After June 15, season passes may be purchased directly at the city pool.
